  Higan 2007 - from 16th March to 1st April 2007

Higan 2007 brought to Abano a corner of the east ......, beyond the fashion of the moment and with 360o perspective: seminaries, meetings, shows, and also a commercial area dedicated to shopping, where you can find imported products and try oriental flavors and scents.

Hyakusen, or rather “the area of the 100 choices”, was the place where the visitors of the 2007 Higan edition were hosted. A walk through the colors of kimonos' silks, lacquers, compliments for the furniture of Japanese origin, precious tea scents, furniture imported from China and Tibet, a bookstore with the proposals of specialized publishing houses, imported manga, tangke and Tibetan objects and everything you need to take care of bonsais.

A big temptation for the fans' pockets, a place always crowded and dedicated to quality shopping. Also the corner of the flavors obtained great success: the visitors literally grabbed the samples of sushi prepared by the Japanese chef Mayumi Sunagawa, and accompanied it with the tea suggested by Signore del Tè and with the sake imported from Wa-sabi. There was also great curiosity about Indian cuisine, star of the weekend of March 23-25 and offered by the Indian restaurant Rangoli from Padova.

Hyakusen represented, inside Higan 2007, another approach to the east, offering the oportunity not only to acquire and try traditional oriental products, but to have available experts able to give explanations and advice about the products on display: from how to take care of a kimono, prepare tea and sake, trim bonsais to ... how to eat sushi with chopsticks!
