intership held
by Master
Keiichi Sugiyama,
who arrived
directly from
Japan to
participate in
Higan 2007. |

Master
Sugiyama,
8th dan
of
Katori
Shinto
Ryu,
helped
by an
interpreter,
initially
explained
the
characteristics
of the
martial
arts he
practices
and
learned
through
years of
studying
with the
great Master
Minoru
Mochizuki,
defined
by many
as “the
last
samurai”.
The intership
saw the
participation of

numerous
praticanti of
diverse martial
arts, committed
to repeat the
movements
dictated by the
master with a
practical
example and the
only word in
Italian he knows:
“ancora (again)” |

70-year-old
master,
still

balance

character,
has
inspired
respect
and
demonstrated

participants
